Failure to diagnose leads to wrongful death claim

It is generally expected that New Jersey doctors and hospital staff know and understand the symptoms associated with common ailments. They should be able to recognize the symptoms, perform tests to confirm their suspicions and act upon this information. When patients seek assistance, they expect to receive it. Failure to diagnose the problem can lead to additional problems.

Risk of hospital-acquired infection decreased over five years

Typically, when a New Jersey resident enters the hospital, it is with the intent to get well. Most of the time, the individual is either ill and requires medical attention, or the individual is in need to surgery. While a patient in the hospital, the individual has opportunity to come in contact with a variety of opportunities for infection. Fortunately, one recent report indicates that the risk associated with a hospital\-acquired infection as well as other hospital related concerns has decreased over a five year period.

Dental appliance leads to possible hospital negligence

Personal accidents happen on a regular basis in New Jersey. They can range from accidentally tripping over the cat to accidentally swallowing an unintended object. Many times, these accidents are minor and require no medical treatment; however, some are more involved and do require medical assistance. In seeking such assistance, it is generally assumed that hospital negligence will not add to the problem that already exists.

Surgery gone wrong results in award in excess of $670,000

Across New Jersey, many little girls dream of one day getting married and having several children. These dreams often go so far as to picture what the children will look like, what their favorite games will be and what they will grow up to become. Unfortunately, these dreams do not become reality for every little girl who desires them. This unfortunate turn of events can occur for a number of reasons, and for some, it is due to a surgery gone wrong.
